30 Jul Wedding at The Prado Grand Ballroom in Balboa Park
James and Kelly’s wedding at The Prado Grand Ballroom in Balboa Park was spectacular. We started off with their wedding ceremony in The Prado’s beautiful Casa Del Rey Moro Gardens. The weather, lighting, scenery, and people made for a picture-perfect ceremony!
Following the ceremony, I provided cocktail music in the Fountain Courtyard. Then everyone moved into the Grand Ballroom for the wedding reception. I provided up-lighting for the room, which really made it pop along with the Prado’s table pin spotting.
To start the reception, I MC’d and played songs for each of the couples in the bridal party which made it a fun and lively grand entrance! James and Kelly then did their first dance to “Whatever It Is” by The Zac Brown Band.
After dinner, there were many heartfelt toasts by friends and family and then we moved on to the parent dances. Kelly and her father, Mike, danced to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra, followed by James and his mother Joanne’s dance to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts.
Then the dance party began! I incorporated a fun mix of James and Kelly’s requests along with guest requests and some of my own selections. The dance floor stayed full the whole time, and I played everything from oldies to country to top 40 hits. It was a really fun party!
Later in the evening, we had a beautiful cake cutting followed by the bouquet toss to “Single Ladies” by Beyonce.
It was such a fun celebration, and I wish James and Kelly a wonderful marriage! Here’s a great five star WeddingWire review Kelly gave me as well!
DJ will was great for our wedding in San Diego! What I appreciated the most was that he was very professional and responsive. He was on top of the timeline and very organized. The music was great, everyone was on the dancefloor all night! I would definitely recommend DJ Will for any event!!
