Mt Woodson Castle was originally built in 1921 as the private residence of Amy Strong, a famous local dress designer. Touches of the Craftsman movement, popular in that time, can be seen throughout the historic architecture and style. Strong pulled inspiration from Persian, Arabic, and Oriental rug designs into her permanent decorations sprinkled throughout the Castle.
The spacious home isn’t the only draw for brides to be. The property boasts beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces framed by huge old oaks and other trees that have been there since before Mt Woodson Castle was even built. Having so many options for ceremony and reception areas help make this venue versatile for a wide range of events, and guestlist sizes.
Brides and event planners love how the staff at this venue are very attentive to their clients and pay attention to every detail to make sure the big day is as perfect as can be. Newlyweds and guests alike find themselves smitten by the natural romantic atmosphere of the venue.
