22 Aug Summer Wedding at Mt. Woodson Castle
Mary and Nathan celebrated their summer wedding at Mt. Woodson Castle on a gorgeous day! Their ceremony took place among stately oak trees. The bride walked down the aisle to “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” by Kacey Musgraves. They had two officiants who were their good friends, and we provided mics so everyone could hear them along with Mary and Nathan’s heartfelt vows. Their recessional song “Simply The Best” by Tina Turner raised the energy to get the celebration started!
Cocktails had a 50s and 60s vibe. The couple chose classics like “Fly Me to the Moon” by Frank Sinatra and “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge. “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong encapsulated the theme for the newlyweds!
The bride and groom wanted something a little different for their grand entrance! They entered first to “Burnin’ Love” by Elvis and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Then they had the wedding party walk in so they could give each of them a hug and warm thanks! Following the grand entrance, the guests gathered around the dance floor to experience Mary and Nathan’s first dance to “Only You” by the Platters. Afterward, the evening moved on to dinner, toasts, and cake. Formalities included the father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, and a surprise mother-daughter dance to “Mama’s Song” by Carrie Underwood. It was definitely a moving moment!
Once we started the dancing, the dance floor was crowded with good energy the whole time! We spun lots of wedding classics, from the 70s through the 2000s. Favorites included “Gimme Gimme Gimme a Man After Midnight” by ABBA, “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins, and “Vivir Mi Vida”‘ by Marc Anthony. The crowd loved more recent hits, too, like “Pepas” by Farruko and “Too Sweet” by Hozier. It was a wonderful night and a great experience at their summer wedding at Mt. Woodson Castle in Ramona, California!
