Summer Wedding at Darlington House

Giselle and Bailey celebrated their summer wedding at Darlington House on a gorgeous La Jolla day. Sunny skies and about 80 degrees showcased perfect Southern California wedding weather!

The couple’s ceremony took place on the Egyptian Patio, the perfect size for their guests to be a part of the big day. The bride walked down the aisle to “Baby I’m Yours” by the Arctic Monkeys. After the ceremony, the newlyweds exited to “I Feel the Earth Move” by Carole King for another perfect moment!

Darlington House Andalusian Patio

Cocktail hour got underway at the Andalusian Patio. The couple went for a beachy and mellow vibe. Songs like “Day Dreaming” by Aretha Franklin, “Summer Breeze” by Seals and Crofts, and “Dos Oruguitas” by Sebastian Yatra set the tone for a fun reception to follow!

Darlington House Rose Garden Wedding

The reception in the Rose Garden boasted festive decorations and a relaxed atmosphere. Guests enjoyed grand entrances, first by the bridesmaids, who entered to “Man I Feel Like a Woman” by Shania Twain. Then came the groomsmen to “What Is Love” by Haddaway. The newlyweds capped off the entrances, arriving to “I’m a Believer” by Smash Mouth. That song segued right into the classic “Moonlight Serenade” by Glen Miller for Giselle and Bailey’s first dance. Afterward, the groom made a great welcome speech and the reception was underway!

Everyone enjoyed how the food stations around the courtyard area made it easy to mingle. For toasts, the parents all stood up together and delivered a memorable joint speech. Then everyone got into the dancing!

The couple chose a good mix of some Spanish music, hip-hop, rock, and hits from the 70s and 80s. The dance floor was full all night!

During the dancing, Giselle and Bailey had a creative bouquet toss. They made a bouquet of Lotto scratchers tickets, then invited everyone, married or not, to participate. Even some of the guys came up to try for it!

The last song was “Take Me Home, Country Road” by John Denver. Then the couple hosted an afterparty at Hennessey’s Tavern in La Jolla to keep the celebration going. Everyone had a great time at Giselle and Bailey’s summer wedding at Darlington House!

Here’s an awesome five star review they gave us! We’re so honored you had us as part of your wedding day!

“Music is so important to Bailey (my husband) and I. So we wanted to select a DJ who valued music as much as we did. DJ Will delivered!! The vibes at the wedding were FANTASTIC because the music selections and transitions between songs were so smooth. Despite the wide variety of song genres we provided, Will seamlessly integrated all our “must play” songs throughout the night. He helped make our special day perfect! We had so many guests tell us how incredible the music was and the dance floor was packed the whole night!! His ability to masterfully cater to both us and our guests as an announcer and DJ is seriously so impressive. We could not recommend DJ Will enough!”
