24 Jun Summer Wedding at the Coronado Island Marriott
Charlie and Benji celebrated their summer wedding at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa. Their beautiful ceremony-, cocktail-, and reception areas boasted an incredible harbor view with the dramatic San Diego skyline and the Coronado Bay bridge!
The wedding party and the couple walked down the aisle to “Canon in D” by Pachelbel for a classic touch, then livened it up with “Run Away With Me” by Carly Rae Jepsen for their recessional.
After that, everyone moved over to the poolside lawn for cocktail hour, which also has a nice bay view. It was perfect for mingling!
Then the guests enjoyed the reception upstairs in the Coronado Ballroom. The couple made a fun grand entrance to “Kings and Queens” by Ava Max, followed by a beautiful first dance, which they had choreographed to a custom music edit!
After a nice welcome speech, they had a really well-done buffet with a lot of different food stations, reminiscent of a Las Vegas buffet!
After dinner came the toasts, then the cake cutting, then open dancing for 3 hours. It was a great mix of music! The couple chose a variety of music, from the 90s to the newest hits on the radio. They also liked a lot of 2000s, 2010s, pop, hip-hop, and EDM. They also enjoyed the Cha Cha Slide and the Cupid Shuffle for an overall fun party!
We ended the night on “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond, which was one of their favorites, as they lived in Boston for a while!
It was such a fun night for Charlie and Benji! Everyone had a great time celebrating the start of their new life together.
