12 Nov November Wedding at Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa
I just DJ’d a beautiful November wedding at Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa. It is such a beautiful location, and the weather for the ceremony and cocktails was perfect. Mitch and Chris came from the Boston area to have a destination wedding in La Jolla. It started out with a wonderful ceremony outside. Mitch and Chris are Jewish, so they incorporated some Jewish traditions into the evening.
I did amber up-lights on the pillars for the cocktail and bar area outside. I also put a wireless speaker in the cocktail area so there was music inside and outside all night.
The reception was inside the Grande Room at Estancia. I did amber up-lights on the draping along with a cake pinspot.
Right after the grand entrance, we did the Hora to get the celebration going!
After the Hora, we did the Jewish blessings of the Ha-Motzi (Bread) and Kiddush (Wine).
After the blessings, we moved on to dinner, which was followed by dancing. Mitch and Chris wanted mainly 60’s to 90’s music with a few top-40 requests thrown in. Mitch likes alternative music while Chris likes most of the popular dance songs. I played a mix of both styles that was danceable and kept the party going! Here are some highlights.
I always enjoy working with Melissa Reinke from Sweet Blossom Weddings. She’s a wonderful coordinator!
Also, you can get more information for your Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa wedding at our venue page or at their website.
Congratulations again to Mitch and Chris! It was a great wedding!
