23 Aug Lila and Greg’s July Wedding at Brigantine Del Mar
Lila and Greg really lucked out at their Brigantine Del Mar wedding. Even though it was hot almost everywhere else in the county, the weather by the ocean was absolutely perfect for their ceremony and reception. It all took place on the Brigantine Del Mar’s back lawn, which was a unique space that accommodated the whole event without having to move people in and out of the space to prepare for the reception.
The ceremony was a traditional Jewish ceremony complete with Greg breaking the glass at the end. The couple chose U2’s “Beautiful Day” as their recessional. Who knew it would be so appropriate when they picked it! While the bridal party were taking photos, the guests were having photo shoots of their own at our photo booth. Nothing complements cocktail hour quite like some silly snapshots to remember the day by.
After a grand entrance to “Love me like you do” by Ellie Goulding, Lila and Greg went into their first dance to “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. Once Greg’s Father had welcomed all the friends and loved ones who had come to celebrate the newlyweds, everyone dug into the family-style taco setup for dinner. Lila and Greg also opted for an open dessert bar instead of a traditional cake. A trend we’ve been noticing at recent events.
Then the party really got started! Lila and Greg gave us a very detailed list of music they wanted for their event, so we were able to curate the playlist to perfection to fit their tastes. Some of the offerings included 80’s classics, top 40, hip-hop, and even some EDM. Of course, the highlight of the night was the Hora dance, which is always a fun tradition. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.
So thank you, Lila and Greg, for allowing us to help with and be a part of your big day. We at Dancing DJ Productions wish you the very best for this new chapter in your lives together!
