12 Apr February Wedding at Venue 808
Taylor and Will celebrated their February wedding at Venue 808, a cool, unique downtown wedding and event space in San Diego! Their ceremony was held in the grove among lots of trees for a beautiful woodland effect. The venue’s reception space carried the theme through the night, adding to the magic! The couple chose a monogram gobo for the dance floor in the grove area complementing the party area.
Taylor and Will created a fun grand entrance! First came the bridal party, entering to “You Came to Party” by Meter Mob. Then the couple walked in to “Whoomp There It Is” by Tag Team for a great moment.
In an emotional touch, the newlyweds shared their first dance to the acoustic version of “Latch” by Sam Smith. The father of the bride saluted the couple with a nice toast after dinner.
The father-daughter dance to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw and mother-son dance to “Thought You Should Know” by Morgan Wallen kept the celebration going, then segued into party time!
Guests got out on the floor during four hours of open dancing, with a big variety of music. They like everything from country to pop to hip hop to EDM. The couple wanted to make sure it had a fun party vibe, and we made sure to keep that going the whole time! The crowd was a lot of fun! Taylor & Will also wanted some slow country songs which we incorporated for the couples.
Later in the night, the newlyweds passed out custom trucker/baseball hats which was a fun moment. The couple’s last dance brought the night to a close with “Cowboy Take Me Away” by The Chicks, for a perfect ending.

From the start working with Will was so seamless! Our DJ was extremely important for our wedding as I love to dance and our whole group loves to party! In my opinion, I think a DJ can make or break your event. Rest assured DJ Will delivered the best vibe and an overall great flow of all genres I love. As the bride, I probably should’ve socialized more, but I couldn’t stay off the dance floor HAHA. I received plenty of compliments about how great the music was and well mixed together.
