16 Nov Autumn Wedding at The Guild Hotel
Joey and Amanda celebrated their beautiful autumn wedding at The Guild Hotel in downtown San Diego.
Their ceremony outside in the Poppy Courtyard took advantage of the gorgeous cool weather. As a bonus, the partial cloud cover was great for photos! For the ceremony, they chose a piano cover of “All of the Lights” for the groom’s song with his parents. “Home” by Edward Sharp made a touching song for the recessional.
They followed their heartfelt ceremony by a cocktail hour held right next to it. Then guests enjoyed a high-energy reception in the adjacent ballroom. Joey and Amanda went with blush pink uplighting and had chiffon draping in the ballroom for a nice accent. The checkered black and white dance floor fit the classic vibe of The Guild Hotel perfectly!
After a wonderful dinner, some heartfelt toasts, and the first dance and parent dances, the party began! The reception dance set included sone classic wedding songs earlier in the night. Guests got out on the dance floor for hits like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Diana Ross and Marvin Gaye and “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield.
Once the classics were played in the first part, we got into a festival vibe which was a ton of fun! The couple’s love of EDM including D&B and house music created a really energetic night. Joey used to be a DJ and they were big festival attendees, so their group packed the dance floor all night! We had fun playing different types of songs, like “Treat You Better” and “Innerbloom” by Rufus Du Sol and “Imagination” by Gorgon City.
Joey and Amanda were really happy with everything at the end of the night! Everyone had a great time during their autumn wedding at The Guild Hotel!
