Amanda and Jim’s wedding at Grand Tradition Estate in Beverly Mansion, was one of the most fun and energetic weddings I’ve DJ’d this year! They’re such a fun and upbeat couple who really love to party. They had a fantastic family and group of friends to help as well! For the decor, I provided purple up-lighting along with a cake pinspot which really helped make the room come alive.
Amanda and Jim started off with a touching first dance to “Everything” by Michael Buble. They invited all the couples to join halfway through. Once we had a full dance floor, we went into the Hora, which is a popular Jewish circle dance! Everyone got on the floor and it was one of the highlights of the night!
After the Hora I played a few upbeat dance songs such as “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars to get the party going before dinner as Amanda and Jim had requested prior to their wedding.
Following the dance set, we had a nice buffet dinner followed by many heartfelt toasts.
Following the toasts they did the parent dances. Amanda and her dad, Brent, started, then Jim and his mom, Debbie, joined them partway though.
Then the party began! I got everyone on the dance floor to get the party going again after dinner. I used “I Gotta Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas as a fun, interactive opener to get everyone on the dance floor. Check it out below!
The rest of the night was high energy accented by a few slow songs and the bouquet toss. I really had a great time and played everything from the Beatles to Fetty Wap!
