Junipero Serra Museum Wedding

Wedding Ceremony at the Junipero Serra Museum

Junipero Serra Museum Wedding

We recently had the pleasure of DJing for Catherine and Jeremiah’s Junipero Serra Museum wedding! This is one of the most historic venues in San Diego. The venue is nestled up on the hill above Old Town. This venue provides amazing views overlooking downtown San Diego, Mission Bay, and Mission Valley!

The ceremony was held inside the museum, and then cocktail hour was held outside on the side patio. Even though the wedding was held in a historically wet winter in Southern California, it was only a little misty, and we were able to have a wonderful wedding outside.

The reception was held outside on the main patio area where Catherine and Jeremiah had a super-fun grand entrance to “Space Jam” by Quad City DJ’s. They had a beautiful choreographed first dance to a custom edit, and after that we moved on to the meal followed by toasts.

After dinner and toasts, Catherine and her dad did a wonderful dance to “Secret O’ Life” by James Taylor.

Once the dance floor opened, it was full all night! We played a lot of classic songs and fun wedding songs like “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston, “Play That Funky Music” by Wild Cherry, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, and “Yeah” by Usher!

A fun song they chose for a sing-a-long was “She’s So High” by Tal Bachman. It’s been a long time since we’ve played that song, and it was fun to play it again. The crowd really enjoyed it!

They chose the classic “Closing Time” by Semisonic for their last dance followed by “I Lived” by One Republic for their grand exit!

We had a great time celebrating with Catherine and Jeremiah and wish them all the best!
