01 Apr Hillary & Donny’s March Wedding at the Prado Grand Ballroom
Balboa Park has always been a favorite wedding venue of ours, and Hillary & Donny’s wedding at the Prado Grand Ballroom was no exception. The ceremony was held offsite, so guests who arrived early to the Prado for the reception were treated to a cocktail hour in the beautiful outdoor Prado Courtyard. The iconic architecture was complemented by laid-back Jack Johnson style music, supplied by us, to perfectly encapsulate the cool style of the couple.
After all the guests had time to arrive, everyone moved into the Grand Ballroom for the rest of the reception. We supplied amber uplighting for the space, a popular choice given how they coordinate perfectly with the vintage feel of the ballroom. In addition, the table pinspotting really made the beautiful centerpieces pop!
Once everyone was seated and situated, the party was kicked off with the bridesmaids and groomsmen entering to Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars. After Hillary and Donny’s first dance, dinner was served, and the father of the bride, Best Man, and Maid of Honor gave toasts to the newlyweds.
After the traditional wedding activities, the real party started! The crowd was one of the most energetic we’ve had the pleasure of DJ’ing for. Hillary and Donny even extended the reception to Midnight, and the energy never waned. It was an awesome way to end a wonderful reception at Balboa Park.
Thank you, Hillary and Donny, for having us. We wish you all the best in your future together.
