SD Nat History Museum Reception

Natural History Museum Wedding

We recently had the pleasure of DJing for Anna and Isaac’s wedding at the San Diego Natural History Museum! Which is one of the most interesting venues in town. The ceremony was held on the rooftop of the Museum which provided stunning views of downtown San Diego and Balboa Park.

Ceremony on rooftop at the Natural History Museum

After the ceremony we moved to the second floor of the Natural History Museum for the cocktail hour which we provided background music for. Then everyone moved down to the main floor of the Museum which was where the reception was held. The main floor of the Museum is a really cool area as you can see all the floor of the Museum! Uplights were used to light up the walls in the in this area and they created a really nice effect.

Reception at the Natural History Museum

The reception opened up with a really great Grand Entrance to “I’m On Top of the World” by Imagine Dragons. When led into Anna and Isaac’s first dance to Jon McLaughlin’s “So Close”. After the formal dance and dinner we provided a mic for the toasts. Anna and Isaac really wanted a big party so after toasts we had an open dance floor for two and a half hours!

Dancing at the Natural History Museum

We started the night with some classics and as the night progressed moved into some newer music. We played a bit of reggaeton, hip hop, and even some EDM. Since the bride, Anna is a big Taylor Swift fan we even played a few of her songs and even played “Paper Rings” a second time towards the end of the night. We capped off fantastic wedding and a super fun dance floor with “When Can I See You Again” by Owl City.
