Recently, we had the privilege of being the DJ & MC for Selling Sunset star Vanessa Villela and creative director and photographer Nicholas (Nick) Hardy! This wedding was featured in Brides magazine and also got featured in People shortly after the article came out! Along with DJing & MCing the ceremony through reception, we also provided cold sparklers for numerous highlights throughout the evening!

Vanessa and Nick decided to have their wedding at the Fairmont Grand Hotel because it connected them to their roots and history together. Vanessa has family roots in San Diego, and they started their love story at the Fairmont Mayakoba. It was truly a stunningly beautiful backdrop for their wedding as they wanted a “magical and cinematic” wedding for 69 of their close friends and family. The white florals beautifully accented the outside space along with lots of blush and neutral colors along with twinkle lights.

In addition to the grand entrance, we lit the cold sparklers for the cake cutting and the newlywed send off (pictured below)! The cold sparklers really added to the magical feel of their wedding! They had a giant LED video wall that showed videos and photos of their love story over time as well!

For the dancing portion, there was a fantastic 11-piece band, Cardinal Gold. We played for the breaks and after they ended with a fun mix of 80s and some Latin hits along with other requests! It was a really fun group. Vanessa even sang Nick a surprise song, “I Love You Baby.”
