Hey, I’m Ukeim Ortiz! I was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico in July of 1983, but have spent the majority of my life in San Diego. I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to travel and experience a wide variety of musical genres and cultures. I’m also bilingual in both English and Spanish!
As a teenager I emersed myself in a variety of different styles of music, including Latin, Hip Hop, and R&B. I learned the skill of DJing by mastering beat mixing and expanding my musical repertoire. I also amplified my knowledge about musicians and their discographies. In 2010 after years of practice, I finally began DJing professionally.
My club carrier began as a Latin DJ for Club Miami in Mission Valley. Shortly after, I became the Resident DJ for Queen Bee’s in North Park. Soon I started getting requests for other events and started rocking weddings, clubs, special events, and even got a radio show. Now I DJ most days of the week, and when I’m not DJing weddings & private events, you can catch me at the hottest clubs and restaurants in San Diego! I’ve also DJ’d for a variety of festivals including Pabst Blue Ribbon, the North Park Festival of the Arts, and the San Diego Pride Festival.
I play everything from Latin Music (Salsa, Cumbias, Merengue, Reggaeton, Bachata) to Funk, 80’s, 90’s to EDM and House Music to Hip Hop and Top 40. I’m an expert at catering to the wide variety of cultures found in San Diego! I know how to create a musical experience that captivates your audience and brings your party to life!
