Hello! I am DJ Carlos Sanchez (aka DJ Ceelos). As a scientist by day and DJ by night, I have been rocking dance floors from coast to coast for over 10 years. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish! 

Have you ever heard a song on the radio, a sing along, a rock song, or a Disney song, and you get this euphoric feeling? A memory in your mind is triggered and for that stretch of 3 to 4 minutes you are taken back to that moment in time. Music has the power to take us back. As a DJ I love using the power of music to trigger great memories and help make new ones. 

I have always been exposed to music, from learning how to play the cello as a child, to listening to my dad’s extensive CD collection of Spanish Rock and Latin pop. My early DJ experience came when I was at New York University for graduate school. In NYC, I graduated from the New York Scratch Academy and learned the art of mixing music from some of the best DJs around. I then started DJing at New York City bars and Brooklyn warehouses and worked private/corporate events for New York University and Rockefeller.

After graduate school I moved to Boston and started a family. That was when I decided to leave the bar scene behind and focus on weddings. In Boston, I worked with Fine Tune Entertainment and gained the experience I needed to rock wedding parties all over the New England area.

Now in San Diego working with Dancing DJ Production, I bring that same enthusiasm to Southern California weddings and events. I am looking to bring high-energy sets to your events, mixing all styles including classics, hip-hop, top 40, dance and Latin music with seamless transitions and a huge smile!

  • We hired DJ Carlos to do a two day Indian and American wedding celebration which meant Carlos had to stay late and start early morning the next day. As some may know, Indian weddings are an INCREDIBLY long day with many cues needed from priests and wedding coordinators. Carlos handled these cues well, with playing the traditional Indian music for the South Indian Hindu ceremony and did a great job with the classical music for the American Ceremony. He was also great with balancing the traditional Indian songs with the newer bollywood hits as well as executing a wide range of pop, hip hop, and throwbacks for the sangeet and American reception . Thanks so much to Carlos for going above and beyond our requests!!
