Hey, I’m Mitch Rodin! People always ask me how I got into DJing, so I’ll start at the beginning. My passion for music started at an early age from listening to my parents’ records or singing along to the radio in the car. I progressed into drumming, which developed my sense of rhythm and made me love music even more. I decided it would be fun to get some turntables and learn to mix on them. I got very proficient at mixing over the years and kept doing it as a hobby.
I put DJing on the back burner while I went to college at Cal State San Marcos. I also focused on coaching ice hockey at the San Diego Ice Arena which is one of my other passions. Once I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology, I got the DJ bug again and decided I wanted to pursue it professionally. So I joined Dancing DJ Productions in 2015, and after hundreds of successful events the rest is history!
Musicwise I’m very good and well versed with most styles. I really enjoy how I get to incorporate so many styles of music for all types of events and cultures. Some of the genres I personally listen to are EDM, hip hop, and classic rock. One of my favorite parts of DJing is getting to know your vision so I can make your event perfect!
