Hi everyone, I’m DJ Tsitsi (teet-see)! You may be wondering where my name comes from, well, I come from a large Zimbabwean family, and have over 40 first cousins! While my family is from Zimbabwe, I grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. I’m an east coaster who has quickly embraced that west coast flair, having lived in San Diego since 2019.
I started my entertainment journey as an MC at countless events, trivia nights, and weddings. I absolutely love being on the microphone and have extensive experience leading crowds of all sizes, and keeping the energy high at my events. I eventually was drawn to the music side and bought my first DJ controller. I caught the DJ bug immediately, and have never looked back!
One of my most underrated, although arguably most significant talents, is my ability to read your crowd and create an atmosphere where all people feel welcome and free to have a good time. My name, Tsitsi, in fact means grace and kindness, so it is my mission to treat all party goers with the utmost care, and to make sure there is a spot that is simultaneously fun and comfortable for all people on your dance floor. I rely on contagious energy and my ability to connect with your partygoers to help me bring your celebration to life!
Hip-hop, reggaeton, funk, afrobeats, and EDM are some of my favorites styes of music, but I’m very well versed! I value all types of music highly, so you name it, I mix it!
When I’m not behind my DJ deck, I have built a fruitful career as a fundraiser for nonprofits, and I’m currently working at UCSD. Giving back is important to me! Through this profession, I have learned the importance of forming genuine connections and relationships with people. Those connections have helped me move in the DJ space with ease. As much as I look forward to jammin’ out at your celebration, I look just as much forward to getting to know you on a human level and listening to your visions for your event. I promise to do everything in my power to bring those visions to life, come party with me!!
