Hi! My name is Valen Golden. I have been DJing and producing events for over 20 years, and it is an honor to be part of the elite Dancing DJ Productions roster. Music is my passion and I love bringing people together on the dance floor, creating lifelong memories with friends and family!
Hailing from New York, I lived a bicoastal lifestyle for nearly a decade before settling here in San Diego, where I am so happy to finally call home. My DJ journey began as an intern and assistant for weddings and special events while working my way through college. Those early years were spent honing my skills at private and corporate events, mastering everything from song selection to equipment setup, emceeing, crowd interaction, and meticulous pre-event preparation. Simultaneously, I worked at Radio Woodstock in Woodstock, NY, where I began a career in promotions and event production. Through these roots, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to a diverse array of festivals and gatherings across the country over the past 20 years.
As my DJ expertise grew, I began taking on my own private events, independently DJing countless weddings and celebrations over the years. I also ventured into the club scene and built a reputation for myself under the alias ‘Lady Verse.’ My alter ego has brought me coast to coast and around the world, both physically and through the various radio shows I’ve hosted over the years. I’ve performed in New York, Miami, Ibiza, Mexico and beyond. Some of my festival appearances include Ultra Music Festival, Groove Cruise and Gathering of The Vibes. I’ve opened directly for artists such as Coolio, Noreaga, Lady Miss Kier of Deee-Lite, T-Pain, Yung Gravy, Two Friends and 3OH!3 to name a few.
The constant thread through all of my work has always been the music and the smiles on the dance floor. My style and knowledge of music encompasses a wide variety of genres and decades; good music is good music! I am always excited to collaborate with new clients to tailor the perfect soundtrack and vibe for their special event.
I truly enjoy DJing and love helping people celebrate with family and friends.
