Madison and Eric’s June Wedding at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate

Madison and Eric’s June Wedding at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate

Summer is always a very popular time for weddings! We recently had the opportunity to DJ Madison and Eric’s wedding at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate. The venue’s beautiful gardens were enhanced by the wonderful June weather. You could tell that summer was in full effect.

The event was very family-oriented as the bride and groom came from large families with many generations in attendance. They played up on that with lots of unique touches throughout the event. The first of which was to have three of their grandmas act as flower girls. The intimate family feel was kept going by their friend who acted as the officiant. After the ceremony in the front garden of the venue, the guests were moved to another part of the grounds for cocktail hour and to soak up more of the summer beauty of the grounds.

The reception was moved inside to the main ballroom. We used some of our warm white uplights to compliment the space. Once everyone was settled, the couple had their grand entrance to “Come and Get Your Love” by Redbone, and the couple had their first dance. After dinner, there were many moving toasts by the fathers of the couple and the bridal party. You could really feel the love in the room, which segued perfectly into the love shoe game, always a big hit with the guests at weddings.

After the love shoe game, the dance floor was opened up and everyone turned out to boogie down to the throwback playlist the couple requested. So many generations were represented on the dance floor!

When it was time for the anniversary dance, Madison dedicated a bouquet to Eric’s grandparents, who had been married for 65 years. We thought that was a lovely tribute from the new couple. Other fun touches included using a sword to cut the cake and having the last dance of the evening to “Africa” by Toto. The families also enjoyed the couple’s final send-off with bubbles. It was all very festive!
