Morgan Run Wedding in Rancho Santa Fe

I really enjoyed DJing Chrissie and Dan’s Morgan Run Wedding in Rancho Santa Fe! They are such a sweet couple and were a pleasure to work with. I played music at their church in Del Mar for the ceremony, and then we proceeded to Morgan Run for the cocktails and reception. Chrissie and Dan wanted a classic feel with rat pack artists like Frank Sinatra for cocktails, then John Coltrane for a soft jazz feel at dinner. Following dinner, Dan & Chrissie’s dads and some of the bridal party gave heartfelt toasts.

Wedding Toasts at Morgan Run

After toasts and parent dances, the celebration began! They had a lively and fun crowd that was open to most styles of music! Dan and Chrissie gave me a detailed “do not play”list via my website that included no line dances. So I played a mix of non-traditional wedding music, appropriate guest requests, and approved classics. The highest energy time was when we got into an 80’s rock set in the middle of the night! Check out the pictures and videos for the highlights of the evening.

Dan and his friends really enjoyed the song “My Next Thirty Years” by Tim McGraw. Dan was celebrating his thirtieth birthday the following week along with one of his good friends!

Here are a few fun video clips from my classic rock set in the middle of the night. “Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC and “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard were a few of the highlights.

Slow Dance at Wedding

Here’s the five-star review Dan and Chrissie gave me on WeddingWire. Thank you, guys! You rock.

“Dancing DJ production did an excellent job at our wedding in March. Will was easy to work with and everything went great. He was able to coordinate with the venue about times, etc which made me feel confident that things would run smoothly the day of. Will was able to cater the music style and amount of involvement to fit our needs throughout the whole evening.
The Dancing DJ website was also great and easy to use. You could easily fill out all the info for the event and update it any time before submission. He was also able to get any song we wanted, even if it wasn’t on his website online. He checked that he had the correct version of the special songs we wanted for our ceremony/dances which was great. Everyone loved the music and danced all night long!”
