19 Jul Wedding at Maderas Golf Club in Poway
Chris and Katrina’s wedding at Maderas Golf Club in Poway was a blast. It was a wonderful time of music, celebration, and dancing. They truly are a wonderful couple and it one of the best wedding celebrations I DJ’d last summer! They had the nicest family and friends, and it created a very fun and energetic atmosphere!
To get the dance party going, I started with “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars. First I got the bridal party on the dance floor and then had them each pull partners onto the dance floor from the audience. Then after a minute, I had everyone on the dance floor pull another partner from the audience until everyone was on the dance floor! It’s called a snowball dance and it works as a great opener to get everyone involved!
The only break from dancing was when Chris and Katrina cut the cake. Then it was right back to a non-stop dance party!
The crowd really enjoyed classic rock, so I made sure to play some of the classic sing-alongs!
At one point, a dance circle broke out and some break dancers let loose! Very fun!
We ended on a high note with a full dance floor to “Your Song” by Elton John. What a fun night! I wish the best to Chris and Katrina!
